MRA Architecture & Interior Design creates

Located at 131 Shoreditch High Street, the store showcases the brands full product range, including fashion and interiors and new categories such as sleepwear, accessories and stationery.Design brief given to MRA was to create a showcase to support House of Hackneys personalised service and reflect both its nonconformist spirit and its roots in traditional, high-quality craftsmanship. 

Stephanie Srivastava, director at MRA,Most modern headlight designs include Cheap Packing & Loading Products. explains: House of Hackney wanted to create a space dedicated to their product, a destination for their customers where the beauty of the collections can be seen in their entirety.The 2,000ft2 store arranged over two levels is conceptualised as a series of themed rooms: Garden, Fabric and Fashion.

Embodying the brands playful style, the store is adorned in House of Hackneys trademark prints with new collections. The backdrop features dark furniture in House of Hackneys signature midnight colourway, which acts as a foil to offset the decorative product on offer.The classic Victoriana style has a rich ornate detailing that is accentuated by the vivid prints of the fabrics and wallpapers on display. 

The store has a striking awning, featuring House of Hackneys Hackney Empire print, which lends it a strong street presence and creates the ambience of a traditional storefront. The House of Hackney logo is in delicate gold lettering, mounted on the existing stone fascia panel.The overall decorative style of the store is contrasted with traditional black-and-white Victorian-style tiling. The papered feature wall with a new floral print and bespoke tiles to the back of the florists counter top, adds to the natural exuberance. 

The front area of the store has a space allocated for florists. A butlers sink with brass taps adds activity to the area.The Fabric Room is grand with Victorian tiling and octagonal feature mirror panelling to the ceiling that complements the fabrics alongside footwear, sleepwear and lingerie on display. The room features large-format shelving to showcase House of Hackneys decorative cushions, and oversized hinged panels to show the full pattern repeat of its wallpaper range. 

A library of fabric and wallpaper samples tied with ribbon, and smaller items, such as fine bone china, is displayed within shelving near the cash/wrap desk.The desk features a marble top with dramatic globe pendant luminaires above.A grand conversation seat upholstered in Wild Card fabric in the heart of the room lends an opulent salon feel, providing a space to wait while partners try on clothing in the fitting rooms, which feature Hackney Empire Stripe paper and curtains. 

At the rear of the store, a double-height space showcases the brands signature Hackney Empire luxury wallpaper with a carnival of animals in various colours.The lower floor of the store can be accessed through a spiral staircase which houses House of Hackneys furniture collections in a series of room sets, curated by print.

The interior of this space reflects the luxury signature style of the brand and is resonant with a traditional foundation of faux fireplace, parquet floor and paneling.A striking feature bed set dressed in Dalston Rose adorns the space along with a grid system that enables the creation of a flexible display space, much like a stage set, where screens can be suspended and moved to form different rooms. 

Curb appeal is not in short supply at Lakeside. The homes are built using classic Seaside architecture, with pitched roofs, stone and wood detailing and window boxes. Street-fronting homes include picket fencing and stone post entry gates to complement the architecture.
